Human Resources Generalist

We are currently looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our team. Located in Scarborough, Ontario, our trade printing company specializes in advanced trade printing business and offers a complete printing service accessible via our website. We are looking for candidates who have the skills featured below, and who also wish to be a part of our enthusiastic team whose main objective is to help our clients bring their visions to reality.
Main responsibilities:
- Lead Human Resources department and supporting policies/procedures.
- Manage Full cycle recruiting for all departments and levels within the organization.
- Perform/Approve employee performance correction procedures up to and including termination.
- Conduct company wide training on performance management, compliance requirements, health and safety, and internal systems.
- Update Executive team on current Human Resources projects, investigations, problems, risks, etc.
- Confidently conduct employee relations and conflict resolution.
- Responsible for full cycle payroll, compensation management and benefits administration.
- Manage and drive employee annual evaluations.
- Ensure company compliance to regulatory concerns regarding employees including Health and Safety and Employment Law.
- Responsible for policy development, documentation, communication, implementation and enforcement.
- Effectively manage WSIB incidences to ensure compliance and facilitate early and safe return to work.
- Oversee the storage of all employee related documentation.
- Facilitate Joint Health and Safety Committee.
Skills and Experience
- Associate or BA degree in a related field
- 2+ years working in a generalist human resources role
- Training in human resources, career counselling, industrial relations or a combination of training and experience deemed relevant to the job.
- Good knowledge of the laws and regulations in Ontario.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and skills with computer systems and the Internet.
