Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Shipper/Receiver/Forklift Operator to join our fast-paced warehouse team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for efficiently managing the receipt, storage, and shipment of goods, ensuring accuracy and safety throughout all operations.
Duties
- Safely operate forklifts, reach trucks, and other material handling equipment to load, unload, and transport goods within the warehouse
- Receive incoming shipments by verifying quantities against purchase orders and/or customer bills of lading
- Prepare outgoing shipments by accurately picking orders and ensuring proper packaging and labeling for safe delivery
- Load and unload trucks efficiently while maintaining safety standards and minimizing damage or errors
- Assist in inventory management through regular organization of storage areas
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely order fulfillment
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace to promote safety and operational efficiency
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts or similar warehouse equipment with valid certification preferred
- Strong understanding of shipping & receiving procedures within a warehouse distribution setting
- Experience with order picking and load/unload processes in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for counting inventory and verifying shipment details
- Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and best practices for equipment operation
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy
