This is a full-time, long-term opportunity offering a competitive wage of $28 to $38 per hour, based on experience.

About The Role
The Quality Inspector plays an important role in ensuring our client’s fabricated structural steel products meet customer requirements, industry standards, and company quality expectations. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting fabrication and welding processes, verifying product conformity, maintaining accurate quality documentation, and supporting corrective actions and continuous improvement. Other duties include:
- Inspecting Structural Steel Fabrication, Fit-Up, Assembly, Welding, Painting & Final Products Against Drawings/Specifications
- Verifying Welding Compliance with Approved WPS Requirements & Applicable Standards
- Performing Dimensional & Fabrication Inspections
- Conducting Visual Weld Inspections & Verifying Weld Acceptance Criteria
- Maintaining Accurate Inspection Reports, Quality Checklists, NCRS, & Turnover Documentation
- Supporting Customer Inspections, Audits, Certification Activities, & Third-Party Inspections
- Participating In Root-Cause Investigations & Corrective Action Processes
- Identifying Quality Issues Early to Help Reduce Defects & Rework
- Working Closely with Production, Engineering, Project Management, Welding, Paint, Shipping, & Other Departments
- Reviewing Drawings, Specifications, & Quality Requirements
- Maintaining Product Traceability & Inspection Records
- Using Measurement & Inspection Tools Including Calipers, Measuring Tapes, Weld Gauges, Levels, & Other Precision Equipment
- Assisting With Quality Documentation, Customer Quality Packages, & Audit Preparation
- Supporting Continuous Improvement Initiatives & Identifying Opportunities To Improve Quality & Production Processes
- Using Microsoft 365, Excel, Erp Systems, & Other Document Control & Reporting Tools
- Other Duties as Assigned
Qualifications
You may be a great fit if you have:
- Diploma, Certificate or Degree in Quality Assurance, Welding Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Technology, or Related Field Is Preferred; Equivalent Experience May Be Considered
- Minimum 3 Years Experience in Quality Inspection, Fabrication Inspection, Welding Inspection or Manufacturing Quality
- Experience with Structural Steel Fabrication & Inspection
- Knowledge of Welding Processes, WPS Interpretation, Weld Inspection & CWB Requirements
- Ability To Read & Interpret Technical Drawings & Specifications
- Experience with Dimensional Inspection, Fit-Up Inspection, & Fabrication Verification
- Knowledge of NCR Management, Corrective Actions, Root-Cause Analysis & Quality Systems
- Strong Documentation & Organizational Skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office - Particularly Excel
- Strong Attention to Detail & Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability To Work Effectively with Production, Engineering, Project Management, Customers & Third-Party Inspectors
- Strong Commitment to Safety, Accuracy & Continuous Improvement
