Summary
Leads preparation/review of complex T1 returns, mentors staff, ensures CRA compliance, and delivers excellent client service.
Responsibilities
¨ Prepare/Review/approve complex T1 returns
· T1s for Individuals with: Self-employment, Rentals, Investments, Employment Expenses, Foreign Income, T1135, and sale of Real Estate Properties)
· Preparation, review and filing of GST/HST returns
¨ Mentor team and provide technical guidance
¨ Ensure CRA compliance and stay current on tax law
¨ Manage client relationships and deliver service excellence
¨ Oversee intake, workflow, and deadlines
¨ Additional Skillsets preferred:
· Terminal (Final T1), and Estate returns (T3)
· Non-resident returns
· Corporate returns (T2), payroll taxes (CPP, EI), WSIB, GST/HST filings and Ontario Information returns
· Tax audits and CRA correspondence
Qualifications
¨Must currently reside in Ontatio and be legally authorized to work in Canada
¨ 2+ years T1 experience,
¨ Complex return expertise
¨ Profile software knowledge required
¨ Strong CRA knowledge
¨ Strong communication and leadership skills
¨ Quickbooks & Sage knowledge advantageous
¨ Strong attention to details and accuracy
