Overview
We are seeking a friendly, energetic, and professional Bartender/Server to join our dynamic hospitality team. This role is essential in providing exceptional customer service, creating a welcoming atmosphere, and ensuring guests have a memorable experience. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food and beverage industry, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are highly valued.
Duties
- Take and serve food and beverage orders accurately while providing attentive customer service
- Mix drinks and serve alcohol responsibly as per licensing regulations
- Manage POS transactions efficiently using Micros POS or similar systems, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Ensure proper food handling and food safety standards are maintained at all times
- Assist guests with menu selections, answer questions about food and beverages, and provide recommendations
- Maintain cleanliness of workstations, bar area, and dining spaces in accordance with health standards
- Handle cash register operations, process payments accurately, and give correct change
- Serve food and beverages promptly to ensure guest satisfaction
- Monitor guest behavior to promote responsible drinking practices
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations during shifts
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment preferred
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Excellent time management abilities to handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously
- Basic math skills for cash handling, billing, and change calculation
- Understanding of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to interact effectively with guests and team members
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
