Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe Team Leader/Cafe Assistant Manager to join our vibrant team. This full time role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of our cafe, providing excellent customer service, and leading a team of staff members. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a passion for food preparation, and experience in restaurant management. As a Cafe Team Leader, you will be responsible for creating a welcoming environment for both customers and employees. For this role, we will require a minimum of 2 years experience as a barista as you will be helping bring new ideas to our beverage menu and implementing them for the team.
Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the cafe, ensuring high standards of service and cleanliness.
- Manage cash handling processes, including operating the POS system accurately.
- Train and mentor new staff members, conducting interviews as needed to build a strong team.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Collaborate with management to implement new menu items and promotional activities.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the cafe environment.
- Must be well versed in the coffee beverage world
Requirements
- Previous experience in a restaurant or cafe setting is preferred.
- Strong skills in food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
- Excellent leadership abilities with experience in supervising staff.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members.
