Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Junior Drywall Estimator to join our construction team. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in developing a career in construction estimating and project management. The ideal candidate will support the estimating team by preparing accurate project bids, analyzing costs, and assisting with project planning to ensure successful project execution. Duties
- Assist senior estimators in preparing detailed drywall and construction estimates using industry-standard software such as Planswift.
- Review project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and material requirements.
- Gather and analyze pricing data from suppliers and subcontractors to develop competitive bids.
- Support negotiation processes with vendors, suppliers, and subcontractors to secure favorable terms.
- Collaborate with project managers to understand project timelines, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Prepare comprehensive bid packages including pricing, scope of work, and assumptions.
- Maintain organized records of estimates, proposals, and related documentation for future reference.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and tools within the team.
Skills
- Proficiency with Planswift software is highly desirable.
- Basic understanding of construction estimating principles and practices.
- Familiarity with project management concepts within the construction industry.
