Overview
We are seeking a friendly and motivated Retail Sales Associate to join our team. This role involves providing excellent customer service, assisting customers with product selection, and maintaining an organized and inviting store environment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a passion for retail sales, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. Previous experience with POS systems, merchandising, or gardening is a plus. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs
- Operate POS systems for transactions, including cash handling and credit card processing
- Maintain merchandise displays through merchandising and organization
- Support inventory management by stocking shelves and conducting stock checks
- Assist with e-commerce orders and fulfill online purchase pickups when needed
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
- Engage with customers to promote sales and answer questions about products in multiple languages if applicable
- Handle cashier duties accurately and efficiently during busy periods
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and enhance customer satisfaction
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English; multilingual abilities are a plus
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of retail sales techniques, merchandising, and customer service best practices
- Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and maintain store presentation
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and independently when needed
- Strong interpersonal skills to connect with diverse customers and provide exceptional service
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced retail setting
Pay: $17.60 per hour
