Crushing Supervisor
Job Summary
Z'gamok Aggregates, subsidiary of Z'gamok Enterprises Inc., is seeking an experienced Crushing Supervisor to oversee daily crushing and quarry operations. This position is responsible for coordinating and scheduling the activities of workers, ensuring the safety and efficiency of quarrying operations, and recommending measures to improve productivity and operational performance.
The successful candidate will provide leadership and support to a team of operators while ensuring production targets are achieved safely, efficiently, and cost-effectively. The Crushing Supervisor will monitor daily operations, promote compliance with health and safety standards, coordinate equipment and personnel resources, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate, schedule and supervise daily crushing and quarry operations
- Ensure production targets and quality standards are met.
- Promote and enforce a strong safety culture and compliance with regulations
- Monitor equipment performance and coordinate maintenance activities.
- Train, mentor and evaluate team members.
- Maintain accurate production and safety records.
- Troubleshoot operational issues and implement improvements.
- Safely operator the crusher to complete a variety of aggregate materials as per specifications.
- Safely operator other heavy-duty equipment as required for the project.
- Check stockpiles to ensure product quality and mix material to desired consistency.
- Perform daily checks on conveyors, screen deck and crusher box.
- Maintain equipment in good operating condition, reporting and logging maintenance requirements or concerns.
- Address any crusher issues and requisition wear parts immediately
- Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve daily productivity
- Oversee the safety of all quarrying operations and conduct safety meetings.
- Conduct weekly safety talk meetings.
- Participate in safety incident investigations
- Conduct employee performance appraisals.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Work in accordance with all local health and safety laws and regulations.
- Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Valid Class G drivers license.
- Experience supervising aggregate crushing, quarry, mining, or related heavy industrial operations.
- Strong knowledge of crushing equipment, aggregate production processes, and quarry operations
- Thorough understanding of occupational health and safety regulations and best practices.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make sound operational decisions.
- Ability to work in a fast paced, outdoor environment.
- Experience operating 980K-988K loaders.
- Excellent time management, with the ability to meet key deadlines.
- Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
