Role Description
This is a full-time, hybrid role (3 set days in the office with the potential for back to the office full-time 5 days a week), for an Accounting Manager. The ideal candidate has in-depth knowledge and experience using QuickBooks Online (QBO), willreview the work of the team, manage questions from clients and team members, has a keen eye for detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently, as well as in a team setting.
We are seeking a skilled, tech-savvy individual who is proficient in QBO and comfortable working across a variety of platforms and technologies. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, along with strong organizational, prioritization, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required, as the candidate will need to integrate seamlessly into our business and begin handling client tasks immediately.
Key Responsibilities
- Monthly review of several client files for correctness and completeness within QBO
- Process accounts receivable and accounts payable for clients, as required
- Manage payroll, on behalf of the clients, in a timely manner, as required
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes
- Own all aspects of the client relationship, including communicating and responding to clients in a timely and proactive manner
- Keep workflow software (Monday.com) up to date
- Supervise and mentor staff
- Handle confidential information with integrity
Qualifications
- Be able to commute to the Woodbridge area a minimum of three days per week
- College diploma or equivalent; program or degree in accounting or finance preferred
- A minimum of 5 years of proven bookkeeping experience with QBO
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs
- Fluent in English (verbal and written)
- Strong organizational, time and team management abilities
- Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analyses
- Collaborate with other team members on larger projects
Hours: 40 hours a week standard, higher hours in busier times
3 weeks of vacation
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
