Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and professional Registered Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to patient care, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of dental hygiene practices. Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings, including scaling and polishing teeth to remove plaque and tartar buildup
- Take and develop dental radiographs as needed, ensuring patient safety and comfort
- Provide oral health education to patients, including proper brushing, flossing techniques, and dietary advice
- Assist in developing personalized treatment plans in collaboration with dentists
- Maintain accurate patient records using Dentrix software
- Support patients throughout their visit by addressing questions and ensuring a positive experience
- Ensure infection control protocols are strictly followed to maintain a sterile environment
Skills
- Proficiency in Dentrix or similar dental practice management software
- Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatric dentistry procedures
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients of all ages
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to dental care
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
