Job Summary
Pikaso is looking for a highly skilled, organized, and safety-conscious Millworker/Cabinet Maker to join our professional team. In this role, you will utilize a mastery of wood shop machinery and small tools to transform raw materials into premium products according to detailed shop drawings. Our shop specializes in high-end retail store fixtures, custom cabinetry, and bespoke furniture.
Responsibilities
Expert Fabrication: Set up and operate industrial machinery, including table saws, bandsaws, miter saws, planers, and joiners, to fabricate and assemble complex wood items to exact specifications.Master Lamination: Apply laminate to various materials with a focus on seamless execution and high-durability finishes.Material Versatility: Demonstrate expertise in working with plywood, MDF, particle board, plastic laminate, and solid wood.Technical Oversight: Read and interpret complex shop drawings and blueprints independently; inspect raw materials and maintain rigorous quality control.Operational Leadership: Maintain a clean, safe workspace; assist in optimizing mill equipment setups and reporting/resolving operational issues.Project Commitment: Availability to work overtime as required to meet strict project deadlines.
Required Skills & Experience
Laminate Expertise: Minimum 5 years of professional experience specifically working with laminate and laminated materials (Required).Cabinetry/Millwork: Minimum 5 years of experience in a professional shop environment.Machinery Mastery: Advanced proficiency in the safe operation and setup of all standard industrial wood shop equipment.Precision: A high degree of attention to detail and a commitment to producing "zero-defect" work.
Schedule
8:00 am – 4:00 pm, Monday – Friday
Overtime
Occasional overtime required to meet production targets
