Duties
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to support their independence and comfort
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and protocols, ensuring safety at all times
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance residents’ quality of life
- Prepare nutritious meals and assist with feeding as needed, respecting dietary restrictions and preferences
- Maintain a clean and safe environment through regular cleaning and sanitation of resident areas and common spaces
- Support residents with activities that promote mental stimulation and social engagement, including recreational activities
- Document care provided, observe changes in residents’ health or behavior, and report to supervising staff promptly
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living communities or nursing homes is highly preferred
- Experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities demonstrates your ability to handle diverse needs with compassion
- Familiarity with medication administration procedures ensures safety and compliance
- Previous caregiving roles involving meal preparation, light cleaning, or home care contribute to your versatility in this role
- Strong communication skills and patience are essential for building trusting relationships with residents and team members
