Job description:
Hotel Guest Service Agent responsibilities include registering guests, managing reservations, and providing information about rooms, rates and amenities. We need a person who is pleasant in person as well as holding exceptional telephone manners.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in hospitality/ front desk is a must.
- Excellent customer relations and love assisting our guests.
- Great multi-tasker with good organizational skills.
- Adaptable to change and be able to handle multiple priorities under pressure.
- Exceptional conflict resolution, negotiation, and objection handling skills.
- Strong communication skills.
- Verbal and written communication ability in the English language required.
- Strong computer knowledge (experience with Room Master PMS program an asset).
- Able to work both independently and a team environment.
- Open Availability with evenings and weekend availability is an absolute must in this role. There may be some opportunity for on-call as well.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner.
- Check guests in, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location.
- Ensure required information is taken from guests at check-in in line with local legislative requirements.
- Greet guests and check them in and out of the hotel in a timely and efficient manner.
- Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue.
- Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints in a professional and courteous manner.
- Provide information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions to guests.
- Process reservations and cancellations, and manage room inventory.
- Manage cash and credit transactions accurately and securely.
- Handle phone calls, emails, and other communications from guests and internal departments.
- Work closely with housekeeping, maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of guest interactions and transactions.
- Resolve any issues that arise during the guest's stay, including but not limited to billing disputes, room changes, and maintenance requests.
- Follow hotel procedures for emergency situations and maintain a safe and secure environment for guests and employees.
- Always follow established hotel safety protocols and procedures. Immediately report any health and safety incident, security breaches, concerns or suspicious behavior to the supervisor or manager on duty.
