Mandate:
Reporting to the Freight Manager, the Freight Forwarding Logistician is responsible for processing and reviewing international ocean import cargo transactions and managing bookings for a portfolio of clients.
Other Duties:
- Serve as a key point of contact for clients, providing timely assistance and maintaining strong customer relationships through effective communication.
- Assist with planning and organizing operational logistics across supply chain departments.
- Facilitate ongoing communication with freight coordinators to ensure smooth coordination across departments and facilities.
- Assist in monitoring shipment activity and updating freight status information to support timely deliveries and receipts.
- Prepare and submit freight reports when needed.
- Maintain freight documentation, records, and logs, as required.
- Update worksheets and specifications regarding the status of freight operations, shipment rates, and other logistics information.
- Other duties, as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience of operations in a Freight Forwarding environment
- Minimum of 4 years of customer service experience
- College diploma in Supply Chain Management or International Transportation and Customs is required
- Experience with CargoWise One or related systems is considered an asset
