Role :
The prospective Westie will be required to coordinate a team of engineers to complete product development and research tasks. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams as well as our clients. This will encompass a variety of tasks from qualifying potential projects to negotiating manufacturing contracts on behalf of the client. As such, success in this role will rely on critical thinking, problem solving, flexibility and excellent interpersonal skills.

You will::
  • Lead multidisciplinary technical project teams in complex product development assignments, from ideation to production
  • Develop a keen understanding of client goals and priorities, execution strategies to attain and exceed those goals, as well as a repeatable framework for setting client expectations
  • Build and maintain project schedules and budgets, monitor project team progress, and communicate project needs, risks, schedules and work both internally and with the client
  • Deliver high-quality results on schedule and within budget
Requirements :
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering field such as electrical, mechanical, firmware, or equivalent, other degrees may be considered with additional experience (we will not consider civil, materials or non-engineering degrees at this time).
  • At least five years of client-facing project management experience, leading multidisciplinary teams across diverse projects
  • Experience leading hardware projects using formal product development processes
  • Experience leading software projects using formal software development processes
  • Experience leading innovation or research activities
  • An unending sense of curiosity and an eagerness to learn
  • Strong relationship-building, analytical skills, presentation, and client-interaction skills
  • Firm understanding of project management methodologies, standards, and tools

  • Quality management systems

  • Linux OS

  • Asana
  • Multidisciplinary engineering experience is an asset for this position
  • Valid passport and the ability to travel internationally on occasion
  • Experience working in a client facing role or at an engineering consultancy
Compensation :
Compensation for this opportunity is commensurate with experience and the degree to which you fulfill the various requirements.

  • Salary Range: $70,000-$100,000 (+OT & Benefits)
