INDUSTRIAL PAINTER
DAYS/NIGHTS MONDAY to THURSDAY
Are you an experienced automotive or industrial painter that enjoys working in a technically growing and challenging environment?
Our Painters are responsible for preparation of parts prior to processing, wet-spray application of general, protective and special coatings to fabricated piece and large parts. Painters are also responsible for the care and maintenance of equipment and tools used.
Your Objective:
- Prepare paint and coating mixtures to proper consistency and viscosity.
- Wet-spray general, protective, and special coatings as per required specifications, to a variety metal and/or non-metal surfaces. Coatings include but are not limited to pre-wash primer, primer and top coat systems.
- Check and measure parts before and after paint application to ensure compliance with tolerance/quality standards.
- Identify, trouble shoot, and correct potential quality issues associated with painting.
- Perform daily preventative maintenance on paint systems and equipment,

Success Requires:
Combinations of practical and educational experience WILL be considered.
- MUST be able to work MONDAY to THURSDAY'S, Days and Nights
- MUST be able to work independently.
- Experience as a spray painter and/or paint technician in an automotive or industrial environment is a significant asset.
- Knowledge of surface preparation methods a requirement.
- Experience in wet paint and specialty coating applications a significant asset.
- Ability to use measurement tools; read and work with production work orders and blueprints.
- Keen attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Positive attitude, initiative, strong communication and interpersonal skills,
- Forklift and Crane experience is an asset.
- Related trades courses, certificate or diploma from a recognized post-secondary school an asset.
- NACE Certified or knowledge of Corrosion Protection Systems a significant asset.
