WestRock, one of the largest and most respected packaging companies in the world, is searching for a full time and permanent Production Associate to work at our clean manufacturing environment in Mississauga.
This fast paced, non-union position involves the creation & assembly of print tooling; flexographic printing plates, serving our many printing facilities all over North America.
We will train the right individual who must be self-driven, highly motivated, with a strong work ethic and attendance.


A Production Tech will align themselves with the WestRock corporate/divisional goals and vision and WestRock Safety and Culture principles. Possess a willing attitude, a sense of purpose and the flexibility to adapt to situational challenges. Focusing completely on the customer needs and being part of the production team, to excel in all that they do.

Job Duties

Operate Liquid and Digital sheet plate making units

Mount both digital sheet and liquid plates accurately based on preset coordinates

Produce accurate waybill information and prepare packages for shipping

Accurately & safely operate Kongsberg units for carrier and plates

Ensure customer & production specific requirements are satisfied at all times

Take initiative to prioritize work based on department demand

Maintain accurate inventory of supplies and purchasing of consumables

Contact and interface with service personnel

Interface with the prepress art department

Ability to troubleshoot equipment and make minor adjustments / repairs

Job Qualifications

High Safety mindset. Must be able to adhere and accept safe work principles and procedures

Adhere to corporate policies which include but are not limited to: LOTO, PPE, Safety and Plant Rules

Highly detail oriented with the ability to interpret and process docket instructions, manufacturing specs and printing specifications

Ensure accurate and timely information is entered into scheduling software

Ability to follow set processes with a continuous improvement mindset to assist in increasing quality and throughput

Suggest or initiate improvements, focusing on the priorities of safety, quality, cost and productivity

Participate in Kaizen/Six sigma events for continuous improvement

Participate in problem solving board when required

Report deficiencies timely and accurately suggesting process improvements to prevent re-occurrence

Ability to interact effectively with other staff and customers

Maintain a clean and safe working area


Minimum High School Diploma required

Shift work required with minimal rotation

Must be physically fit and able to lift 40lbs and stand for long periods of time

Experience preferred but will train the right person
