The Relief Operator portion of this position is based at one of our various field locations throughout Alberta, Northern BC, and Saskatchewan. The Engineering portion of this position is based in Calgary.

**This student opportunity is a 16 month term beginning in May 2019. In this rotational internship, you will work 4 months as a field or plant operator beginning in May and 12 months as an Engineering Student.**

HOW WILL YOU MAKE YOUR MARK?

As a Field Operator:
Gain insight and experience into how the Oil and Gas industry operates
Utilize your hands on mechanical aptitude and experience to solve daily problems to increase and maintain production volumes
Be responsible for Light Oil, Heavy Oil, Gas, Gas Plants, Oil Batteries
Work with Water floods, EOR, Pump Jacks, and PC pumps
Perform well testing techniques and production reporting

As an Engineering Student:Obtain baseline engineering experience and exposure in:
Production and Exploitation
Wide variety of tasks while working with a multidisciplinary teams in a fast paced environment
Participate in Inactive/Active well file reviews
Review completions, recompletions, well drilling, and historical information for understanding well performance
Perform optimization research for increased production
Provide technical support of data analysis and assistance for the preparation of various applications
Execute small projects related to production and exploitation
Research, recommend and evaluate completions/work overs to maximize the Company’s oil and natural gas production

QUALIFICATIONS:
Currently enrolled in your 2nd or 3rd year of an Engineering degree program. Petroleum/Oil & Gas, Mechanical or Chemical disciplines preferred
Strong Mechanical aptitude is an asset
Must be available to attend Safety Training in Calgary the first week of May
Must be prepared to work in the field and work shifts (which may include night shifts for some positions) and to remain on-call during off-hours
Possess a valid Class 5 Alberta driver’s license or equivalent out of province license with a reasonably clean driver abstract and comfortable driving work trucks in a safe manner
