Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role involves taking orders, serving food and beverages, handling transactions, and upselling menu items to enhance the guest experience. Previous restaurant experience and familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS are preferred. The Server plays a vital role in maintaining the restaurant’s reputation for excellent hospitality and efficient service.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems like Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring presentation standards are maintained
- Handle cash, process payments accurately, and perform cashiering duties including cash handling and basic math calculations
- Upsell menu items to increase sales opportunities while recommending specials or popular dishes
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in accordance with food safety regulations
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed to ensure smooth operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing concerns promptly and professionally
- Follow all food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures to uphold health standards
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for cashiering and processing payments accurately
- Previous restaurant or food industry experience preferred, including serving and hospitality roles
- Ability to upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales potential
- Good communication skills for interacting with guests, team members, and kitchen staff
- Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge is a plus but not required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
