We are seeking a talented Graphic Design Production Artist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for design, and a solid understanding of production processes. This role will primarily be focused on package design production, but also will include production on retail and consumer marketing campaigns. It requires collaborating with designers, marketing teams, and product manufacturers to ensure that designs are executed to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with graphic designers and product development teams to develop and refine packaging and marketing campaign materials..
- Create and adjust artwork files for packaging, in-store signage, B2B outreach, staff training materials and more, ensuring they meet production specifications.
- Prepare and finalize files for printing, including creating dielines and ensuring colour accuracy.
- Work closely with printers and product manufacturers to address any production issues and ensure the final product meets quality standards.
- Conduct quality checks on packaging samples and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain organized records of design files and production specifications.
- Stay updated with industry trends and innovations in packaging design and materials.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Graphic Design Proficiency: Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and other design software.
- Attention to Detail: Meticulous in ensuring accuracy and consistency in design files.
- Technical Knowledge: Understanding of printing processes, packaging materials, and production techniques.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues efficiently.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to liaise with team members and external partners.
- Time Management: Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Creativity: A strong sense of aesthetics and ability to innovate within the constraints of packaging design.
- Experience: Previous experience in packaging design and production, preferably in a related industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in packaging design.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements for packaging in various industries.
