Production Control Coordinator
Reports To: Production Planning and Health & Safety Manager
Position Summary
The Production Control Coordinator is responsible for planning, coordinating, and monitoring production schedules to support efficient manufacturing operations and on-time delivery. This role works closely with production, purchasing, inventory, shipping, and customer service teams to ensure material availability, accurate workflow management, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and production capacity.

Coordinate the flow of materials and work orders throughout production.

Monitor production progress and communicate delays, shortages, or scheduling changes to relevant departments.

Enter, release, update, and close work orders within the ERP/MRP system accurately and on time.

Maintain accurate production, inventory, and scheduling records.

Generate and analyze production reports related to output, efficiency, downtime, and order status.

Coordinate with purchasing and inventory teams to ensure materials are available for production.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity and reduce waste.

Assist with resolving production and scheduling issues as required.

Ensure compliance with company safety, quality, and operational standards.

Provide backup support within Production Control and assist with special projects as needed.
Qualifications & Requirements

High school diploma required; post-secondary education in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

2–5 years of experience in production scheduling, manufacturing coordination, or supply chain operations.

Manufacturing environment experience preferred.

Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.

Strong organizational, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Ability to read production drawings and work with detailed production information is an asset.
