As the Performance Marketing Manager, you'll help guide and grow a team of marketers responsible for scaling our and optimizing our customer acquisition channels. Our Performance Marketing team will be focused on improving conversion through the entire customer funnel in order to generate and convert leads and free sign ups into successful, paying customers. You'll be responsible for both high-level strategy and direction of the day-to-day execution of marketing initiatives at a fast-growing tech company (with a healthy amount of time spent sleeves-rolled-up on execution, too!).

In this role, you will:
Build and communicate quarterly marketing plans that align with overarching company targets and goals. You're responsible for reporting on your metrics weekly and adjusting your team's work plans accordingly
Manage and support teams in efficiently scaling paid acquisition channels, optimizing website conversion, developing and executing campaigns, as well as optimizing and expanding email nurture funnels
Empower teams to optimize conversion rates through our entire marketing funnel, including running and reporting on iterative tests
Champion the growth and optimization of our marketing database. This includes improving data cleanliness and integrations while enhancing usability, such as building segmentations for customers groups and buying stages
Become intimately familiar with our ideal buyers, and craft personalized campaigns and evergreen funnels to attract new users based on their needs. You really understand how to speak to our customers in order to showcase the value that Thinkific provides
Use your understanding of the customer journey to create strategic marketing plans and goals, frame targeted experiments, and guide data-driven marketing execution
Work closely with our Content Marketing, Partnership, Product Marketing, and Customer Success teams to align on and achieve company goals
Manage and help mentor marketing team members to elevate their skills to improve conversions and paid accounts throughout the customer journey. You'll also responsible for facilitating career growth and professional development for your team, with a strong focus on continuous improvement
Foster an open, collaborative, and inclusive environment for the marketing team

To be successful in this role, you must:
Have a minimum of 5 years of digital marketing experience
Demonstrate experience leading and managing a team of talented and passionate marketers
Be strategic and data-minded to your coreyou're able to take large goals and break them down into actionable work plans. You like to test reasoned hypothesis and are experienced in collecting and analyzing performance metrics in order to drive future decisions.
Have a successful history in developing and growing digital paid ad channels specifically Facebook, Google, and LinkedIn Ads
Have experience building and optimizing targeted nurturing funnels, using email/marketing automation platforms to nurture customers with timely and relevant content
Demonstrate a successful track record of designing, executing and iterating on time-based campaigns as a key driver of growth
Have proven experience managing, educating, and developing a strong conversion optimization culture across the entire marketing team in key areas such as ads, landing pages, and emails
Show an eagerness to thrive in a fast-paced environment (with past startup experience to prove it)
Have an aptitude for teaching and helping othersyou'll be trusted to provide guidance not only to the marketing team but often to team members in other departments as well
Be an excellent communicator with a proven ability to clearly convey complex ideas to a variety of stakeholders

Have used Customer Journey Mapping extensively to guide marketing strategy, goals and decision making
Previously planned and executed marketing campaigns
Demonstrate the ability to utilize storytelling to engage and convert usersyou're comfortable building compelling and effective copy
Are proud of past wins improving conversion throughout a funnel
