The Program Evaluator will consult with the program submissions team and Senior Management team for all Retirement Community Management related programs.
PTIB Standards:
Credential Requirement:
- Relevant credential plus a minimum of two years of occupational experience in career occupations relevant to the program of instruction.
- No credential but a minimum of ten years of occupational experience in a career relevant to the program of instruction.
Educational Background:
- · Degree in business, healthcare management, or a related field
Professional Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in a managerial role within the retirement or senior living industry
- Familiarity with industry regulations and standards, especially in Canada (e.g., Retirement Homes Act, ORCA).
- Strong knowledge of financial and operational management within retirement communities.
- Previous experience in curriculum development, training, or educational settings is a plus.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with online learning platforms and educational technologies.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Skills and Competencies:
- Collaborate with instructional designers to develop and update curriculum content for courses in Retirement Community Management.
- Provide insights into key areas like operations management, financial planning, human resources, resident care, and regulatory compliance specific to the senior living industry.
- Ensure content reflects current industry practices and regulatory requirements, especially in alignment with the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority (RHRA) and ORCA.
- Review and suggest improvements for course materials, case studies, and assessments to align with industry needs.
- Provide expertise on emerging trends, challenges, and opportunities in the retirement and senior living management sector.
Compensation:
- This will be a contract position that will pay $250.00 to $300 Canadian per project
