Modern Beauty Supplies is seeking a Business Advisor to join our successful and diverse sales team!
Established in 1986 in Calgary, Alberta, we are Canada’s largest family-owned distributor of exclusive professional beauty products recognized worldwide. We further support our customers with over 40 wholesale stores across Canada. Our manufacturing partners continually support our customers and sales staff with ongoing technical support, education, and brand management. The sales team has access to multiple support staff, information portals, dashboards and more.

As a Business Advisor, you will manage and service a well-established territory in the region of Central Toronto and surrounding areas of Ontario.
Expectations:
- Travel, meet and develop relationships with customers daily.
- Conduct presentations and demonstrate products to new and existing clients.
- Support and process customer orders (hair colour, retail products, tools and more).
- Solicit potential clients through cold calling within the territory.
- Ability to manage time wisely and actively manage a call schedule to ensure the individual territory is covered in a timely manner.
- Managing one's assigned area by maintaining accurate records of sales call reports, work plans and other documentation.
- Promote new products, promotions, savings opportunities, and merchandising materials.
- Promote technical/educational brand support provided by our manufacturer partners.
- Ability to align individual and company objectives with goals of satisfying and retaining customers through anticipating wishes and needs.
- Maintain knowledge of the industry education by attending trade/hair shows and other events.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism with new and/or existing clients.
Requirements:
- 2 – 3 years of outside sales experience.
- Excellent communication skills (written/presentation/oral).
- Proficient skills using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Teams).
- Ambitious self-starter, with the ability to work individually while fostering good relationships with clients, managers and team members.
- Ability to close sales and hit quotas using each client interaction as an opportunity to acquire, retain and up-sell.
- Ability to analyze sales, financial and inventory reports to adapt to a suitable selling approach.
- Servicing accounts through daily service calls while ensuring accuracy in obtaining and entering orders.
- Ability to use social media (IG, FB) as a sales/relationship building tool.
- Value the importance of marketing, branding, and merchandising at the retail level.
- Live within 45 minutes of the territory (ideally).
- Able to attend in-person sales meetings in Mississauga 3 – 4 times a year
- Ontario Driver’s License with an excellent driving record.
- Reliable and fully insured Vehicle.
- A valid passport is required – able to travel by air, occasionally outside of Canada for industry events and/or sales incentives.
- Ability to lift and carry 40lbs/18kg.
- Ability to work 40 hours on average per week / 2–3-week cycle for customer visits.
