Zerem Electrical is seeking an organized and detail-oriented Electrical Project Coordinator to support the successful delivery of municipal transit infrastructure electrical construction projects. Working closely with Project Managers, site Foremen, suppliers, consultants, and clients, you will help coordinate project documentation, drawings, materials, permits, change orders, and close-out requirements.
This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, construction administration experience, and the ability to read and review electrical drawings with accuracy. Electrical project scope may include fire alarm systems, lighting, power distribution, generators, and related transit infrastructure systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Support Project Managers and Foremen with project coordination, documentation, scheduling, and administration.
- Review electrical drawings, specifications, and site requirements; identify issues or discrepancies and escalate them as needed.
- Assist with ESA permits, inspection follow-ups, shop drawing schedules, RFIs, change notices, change orders, and deficiency tracking.
- Coordinate material releases, delivery schedules, packing slips, back-orders, and supplier communications.
- Prepare and maintain project binders, spreadsheets, submittal logs, quotation cover sheets, meeting minutes, and close-out documentation.
- Attend project meetings as required and prepare clear, accurate minutes for the Project Manager.
- Liaise professionally with general contractors, consultants, clients, suppliers, Foremen, and internal project teams.
- Support project start-up and close-out, including kick-off coordination and electronic/hard-copy document control.
- Use AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, or related tools to assist with drawings and coordination where required.
Qualifications
- 2–5 years of project coordination, construction administration, or related experience; electrical construction experience is strongly preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, construction documents, specifications, and applicable codes.
- Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIMLink, or 3D drafting is an asset.
- CanBIM certification is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
- High attention to detail, accountability, and ability to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to reliably commute to or relocate near Toronto, ON M9L 1R2 before starting.

Pay: $70,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
