Job Overview/ Duties
The ideal candidate will possess strong marine mechanical knowledge and experience with both hand tools, power tools and electronic diagnosing systems. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of inboards, outboards and electronics to ensure optimal performance and safety. Tasks may include but are not limited to;
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on outboard and inboard engines.
- Diagnose mechanical issues, and prove failures using appropriate testing methods.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools effectively to complete repairs.
- Maintain accurate records of all maintenance work performed.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Keep work area clean and organized, adhering to best practices for safety.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanic.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Proficient in the use of hand tools and power tools.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Red Seal certification
- Mercury/ Yamaha Certifications
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and management.
