Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers (PSWs) to provide high-quality care to individuals in various settings, including assisted living facilities, nursing homes, and private homes. The ideal candidate will assist clients with daily activities, promote independence, and ensure their safety and well-being. This role is vital for supporting seniors and individuals with disabilities, including those experiencing dementia. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed instructions
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and preferences
- Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning and maintaining a safe living environment
- Support clients with mobility and transfers using proper techniques to prevent injury
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals or family members
- Assist with toileting needs and incontinence care as required
- Engage clients in recreational activities to promote mental stimulation and social interaction
Experience
- Prior experience working in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home care environments is preferred
- Experience caring for seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those with dementia is highly desirable
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols is a plus
- Previous caregiving or home care experience demonstrating compassion, patience, and professionalism is beneficial
- Certification in caregiving or relevant training programs is advantageous but not mandatory

Pay: $17.90-$29.42 per hour
