As we look to expand our Team, we are currently seeking a passionate, motivated, physically fit individual to join us as a Helical/Screw Pile Installer.
Job Title: Helical/Screw Pile Installer
Location: Kamloops and Surrounding Area. Though we are based out of Kamloops, this position will require you to travel out of town. Out of town travel can vary from day trips to 1-3 overnights out of town.
Overview: This is a full-time position. 40 hours per week. Monday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
· Load, unload and install Techno Metal Post products which include helical piles, brackets and corrosion systems.
· Perform hazard assessments.
· Clean and prepare sites to eliminate possible hazards.
· Measure, mark and record distances to lay out areas where work will be performed.
· Read and interpret building plans, instructions and specifications to determine work.
· Use saws and shovels; operate jackhammers and drills to break up concrete, pavement, and soils when needed.
· Drive pick-up with trailer to and from job sites and operate specialized drilling equipment.
· Provide respectful and timely communication with customers in all aspects of the job as required.
· Complete the work and ensure you have exceeded the customers expectations.
· Complete field reports before going to the next job.
Required Qualifications:
· Must be able to read and interpret building plans.
· Must be able to lift & carry a minimum of 50 pounds.
· Must have and maintain a valid Drivers License.
· Must have experience driving a truck with trailer.
· Must provide a clean Drivers Abstract and Insurance history (5 years).
· Be able to/learn to weld SMAW Flat and Horizontal (Training can be provided).
· Be able to learn how to operate specialized hydraulic machinery (Training will be provided).
Compensation & Benefits:
· Wage: Starting wage will be between $25 - $40 per hour - dependent on applicant’s relevant experience and/or qualifications.
Benefits: Benefits will be available upon completion of 3 months probationary period
