Barista Job Summary
We're looking for an enthusiastic and friendly Barista to join our family-owned café located at the University of Toronto. If you enjoy working with people, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and love making great coffee and drinks, we'd love to meet you.
Whether you're an experienced barista or looking to learn, we'll provide training and support to help you succeed.
What You'll Do
- Welcome customers and create a positive experience from the moment they walk in.
- Take orders and process payments using our POS system (clover).
- Prepare espresso-based drinks using a manual espresso machine.
- Make smoothies, fresh juices, coffee, tea, and other specialty beverages.
- Serve food and help customers with menu questions.
- Keep up with busy rushes while maintaining speed, quality, and a friendly attitude.
- Keep the café clean, organized, and well stocked.
- Assist with light food preparation and restocking throughout your shift.
- Follow food safety and sanitation standards.
What We're Looking For
- A positive attitude and great customer service skills.
- Someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy periods.
- Reliable, punctual, and eager to learn.
- Previous café, restaurant, or customer service experience is an asset but not required—we're happy to train the right person.
- Experience with a manual espresso machine or Micros POS is a bonus, but not necessary.

Pay: $17.60-$17.95 per hour
