As a Junior Accountant, you’ll partner closely with the Plant Controller to keep financial reporting accurate, support month-end and audit needs, and provide dependable cost and production insights that help the plant run smoothly.

Close with Confidence

Prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations for review.

Support organized month-end/year-end close with solid documentation.
Support Audits, Keep It Clean

Respond to audit requests with complete, accurate backup.

Help maintain controls and reporting integrity for the plant.
Run Day-to-Day Accounting & Compliance

Process invoicing, AR reconciliations, inventory adjustments, and banking transactions accurately and on schedule.

Complete statutory reporting (GST returns, PST self-assessments, Statistics Canada reporting) on time.
Turn Production Data into Useful Insights

Support standard cost updates and monthly transfer price maintenance.

Contribute to budget prep and ad-hoc analysis that supports plant decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
-
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

3+ years of relevant financial accounting experience (AR experience preferred).

Strong Excel skills and comfort with accounting software; D365 (or similar ERP) is a strong asset.

Working toward CPA is an asset.

High accuracy, strong organization, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced plant environment.

Professional discretion when handling sensitive financial and employee information.
