The Opportunity

RVS invites you to apply for a full-time (1.0 FTE) Elementary Generalist (Grade 1) teaching position starting August 27, 2026 to November 9, 2026 at Ecole Edwards Elementary School.

Ecole Edwards Elementary School, located in the City of Airdrie, serves English and French students from grades K-6. Information regarding this school may be found at .

This position is not open to those holding a Continuing Teaching contract with RVS.

Pre-employment Requirements

Applicants must possess or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. To be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate you must have applied for initial certification with Alberta Education at .
New/Recent Graduates Only: In lieu of a reference letter please submit your final practicum report.
External applicants must provide a professional letter of reference, attached to the job application, from their most recent supervisor, relevant to the job opportunity, written on company letterhead, signed and dated within the past 18 months
The successful candidate must submit a current Criminal Record with Vulnerable Sector Check within 30 days of the start of your employment.
