Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring the integrity of our accounting data. This role offers an opportunity to work with various accounting software platforms and contribute to the financial health of our organization. The successful candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, accounting processes, and financial reconciliation.
Duties
- Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities using accounting software EsiLaw.
- Record and categorize financial transactions accurately, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, to ensure data accuracy.
- Conduct account analysis to identify discrepancies or irregularities in financial records.
- Assist with payroll processing and related reporting requirements.
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review.
- Support budgeting processes by tracking expenses and revenues against forecasts.
- Maintain organized financial documentation in compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with auditors during audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles, with an emphasis put on trust accounting. Knowledge of EsiLaw is a must.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, payroll processing, and financial reporting.
- Experience managing accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Skilled in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Knowledge of budgeting processes is a plus.
- Relevant certifications or education in accounting or finance are preferred but not required. This position offers a vital role within our organization’s finance department, supporting accurate financial management through skilled bookkeeping practices.
Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour
