Assembly Manager to lead assembly operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment for our client in Ajax, ON. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing production, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring quality, efficiency, and safety standards are met.
- Pay Rate: $48.00 - $51.00/hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all operations within the Assembly Department
- Ensure production of high-quality products on time and within budget
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Reduce quality issues including NCRs, scrap, rework, and defects
- Supervise and develop assembly and support staff, fostering a strong team environment
- Lead daily SQCDP meetings and support performance tracking
- Ensure effective training and development of team members
- Plan, schedule, and forecast workloads to ensure capacity and resource alignment
- Collaborate with internal teams (Finance, HR, Quality, Engineering)
- Maintain compliance with company policies, safety standards, and collective agreements
- Oversee shop floor organization, housekeeping (5S), and safety practices
- Support resolution of technical issues in partnership with Engineering and Quality teams
Qualifications and Skills:
- Post-secondary education in Business, Operations, or Engineering

Minimum 5 years of experience in an assembly/manufacturing environment

Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills

Results-driven with strong problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset

Experience with manufacturing processes, quality control, and assembly operations

Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, ShopVue, or similar systems

Knowledge of ERP systems and shop floor control processes

Experience in a unionized environment is an asset

Familiarity with aerospace components and quality standards is an asset

Flexibility to work shifts or support operations outside regular hours as needed
