Intermediate – Senior Corporate Paralegal (Langley Office)
Work in beautiful Langley with the resources of a mid-sized firm and an office in downtown Vancouver.
We have an excellent opportunity for a Corporate Paralegal to join a thriving and established law firm with tremendous potential for growth and expansion in the Fraser Valley and Vancouver.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills and experience in Corporate to thrive in this fast-paced environment and meet the service standards of our valued clients. We are seeking someone who takes pride in their work, and you are an organized, multi-tasker, who takes an interest in ensuring a positive experience for our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Drafting and editing resolutions, complex agreements, and other correspondence.
- Prepare closing transaction documents.
- Experience with share and asset purchase and sales.
- Attending to filings with BC Registry and Corporations Canada, reviewing and updating corporate records.
- Contribute to maintaining an efficient BF and calendar system for all dates and correspondence.
- Work with clients directly to collect information and answer any client inquiries.
- Manage all client verification documentation.
- Preparing corporate documentation for BC entities, including incorporations, name changes, changes in directors and officers, alterations to share structure and articles, amalgamations, continuations, restorations, dissolutions, transparency registers and other related transactional tasks.
- Preparing and filing documentation for creation of and/or updating of partnerships, limited partnerships, business names and extra-provincial registrations.
- Maintaining corporate files and record books through ALF Corporate.
- Receiving and sending out record books as required for registered and records office changes.
Qualifications
- 5+ years working experience in a paralegal role with designation.
- Previous experience with Soluno, NetDocs, Worldox, BCOnline and ALF considered an asset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional attitude.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- High attention to detail.
