Toyota Tsusho Canada, Inc. located in Woodstock currently has an opportunity for the position of Group Leader. TTCI is a Canadian division of a multinational Japanese trading firm with numerous interests in supply-chain activities, intermediate goods production, scrap metal recycling, and manufacturing related services. The successful candidate will report to the Manager of Operations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following (non-inclusive):
- Assist management with the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the warehouse operations department
- Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws
- Addressing complaints and resolving problems
- ·Assist management to ensure the safety and productivity of all employees assigned to designated shift
- Inventory Counts
- Ensure Shipments are accurate and sent out in a timely manner.
- Ensure Receiving is accurate and performed in a timely manner.
- Perform cross-trained functions within work group as needed.
- Health and Safety Compliances.
- Prepare Daily Shift schedule of work, ensuring appropriate staffing levels
- Manage vacation time approvals
- Complete Daily Shift Reports
- Training team members; planning, assigning, and directing work
- Participate in Kaizen ideas and programs
- Daily reconciliation of all paperwork and filing
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace in accordance with 5S protocol
- Point of contact for customer
- Complete Accident/Incident reports
- Assisting management with appraising performance
- Other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be available to travel to Woodstock TTCI Facility
- 1-3 years experience in a Supervisory role required
- Must be able to communicate effectively with customers and suppliers
- Must be able to meet deadlines, handle stress, and perform multiple tasks simultaneously
- Must be able to work over-time, rotating shifts, and weekends (if needed)
- Must be safety oriented
- Forklift certification considered an asset
