Qualifications
- Previous experience as a line cook or in a professional kitchen setting.
- Valid and up-to-date Food Safe certification, needs to be sent before start date.
- Solid understanding of cooking techniques, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to accurately follow recipes and ensure consistency in food preparation
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proven ability to perform efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail and a passion for delivering quality food.
- Physically capable of standing for extended periods, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working in a hot kitchen environment.
- Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and kitchen standards
- Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and meets quality and presentation expectations
- Efficiently manage assigned station, including grilling, frying, sautéing, and plating dishes
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely order completion
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, following all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Assist with ingredient preparation and help maintain appropriate stock levels of kitchen supplies
- Monitor food storage and rotation to ensure freshness and minimize waste
- Adhere to portion control standards to maintain consistency and reduce food waste
- Communicate effectively with team members to coordinate orders and service timing
- Support with receiving and organizing deliveries as needed
- Comply with all health and safety regulations at all time.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Chef or line lead
Physical and Environmental Requirements
- Ability to stand for extended periods during shifts.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment.
- Capable of lifting and moving materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Willingness to work in environments with varying noise levels, dust exposure, and temperature fluctuations based on work area.
