Job Overview
We are currently seeking General Labourers for a short-term construction project in Quesnel, BC. This is a 2-week assignment supporting our client’s construction team with a variety of site tasks.
This role involves assisting skilled trades, supporting general site operations, and helping maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment. The ideal candidates will be physically fit, dependable, and comfortable working in a fast-paced outdoor construction setting.
Shift Details
- Start Time: 8:00 AM
- Shift Length: 8–12 hours (based on site requirements)
- Duration: 2 weeks
- Location: Quesnel, BC
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation, setup, and cleanup of the construction site
- Support material handling and general site organization
- Push and transport materials using a 55 lb wheelbarrow as required
- Operate hand tools and basic equipment safely under supervision
- Assist with concrete-related tasks, including forming and finishing
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and complete tasks efficiently
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times
- Adhere to all site safety policies and procedures
Qualifications
- Previous construction or general labour experience is an asset (not required)
- Ability to perform physically demanding work for 8–12 hour shifts
- Strong stamina and ability to lift and move heavy materials safely
- Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team
- Willingness to learn and assist with various construction tasks
- Basic familiarity with hand tools is an advantage
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
PPE Requirements
- Hard hat
- CSA-approved safety boots
- Reflective safety vest
- Safety glasses
- Leather work gloves
- Long pants and long-sleeve shirt or weather-appropriate coveralls
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
