Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable administrator to join Jamesway for a 7-month contract to support the general accounting function operating in a paperless, high volume environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for all accounts payable duties at Jamesway.
- Update money monitor daily.
- Match, code, obtain approval, enter and file invoices, expense reports, and cheques requisitions.
- Prepare weekly cheque run (includes wire transfers and EFT).
- Address, document and follow through to the end on all A/P discrepancies.
- Monitor A/P aging and keep accounts current.
- Validate Vendors statement of accounts.
- Communicate with team members to obtain required invoice approvals.
- Ensure old PO’s that have been received but not invoiced are current using the accrued A/P report and working with various team members.
- Close and reconcile A/P at month end.
- Prepare accrual journal entries at month end for any significant expenses.
- Reconcile outstanding cheques.
- File and/or match packing slips to invoices
- Data Entry for year-end inventory.
- Assist with offsite storage when required.
Qualifications:
- College diploma in accounting (asset).
- 3-5 years of experience in comparable role (required).
- Experience keying high volume Accounts Payable ~ 250 invoices per week
- Hands-on experience with ERP system (SAP experience an asset)
- Experience working in manufacturing environment.
- Experience with working with Excel
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills
- Ability to work in high volume environment

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $65,000.00 per year
