Position Summary:
Reporting to the Finance Manager, the Financial Accountant will be a key member of the Finance team providing high quality service and timely and accurate financial reports to the WELL Clinics business unit. We are looking for an ambitious team player who is keen to learn, grow and participate in all aspects of month end close, financial reporting and analysis, accounting process and internal control activities.
What you will be doing:

Perform full-cycle accounting and month-end close activities for the WELL Health Clinics business unit

Prepare financial statements and month-end financial package for assigned entities

Analyze business performance and trends, and provide financial insights to internal stakeholders

Prepare and/or review journal entries for accruals, deferred revenue, prepaid expenses, intercompany charges and other adjustments

Prepare and/or review bank reconciliations and supporting schedules for revenue, expenses and balance sheet accounts

Participate in post-acquisition integration of general ledger and other finance processes

Participate in doctor pay calculations, journal entries and payment processing

Assist with preparation of provincial and federal sales tax filings

Assess current processes, procedures and internal controls and recommend, implement and document changes to improve efficiency and effectiveness

Additional finance duties and ad hoc tasks as required
You have:
-
CPA student nearing completion, recently designated CPA or Degree in Accounting, Business, Commerce, or related field.

2+ years of accounting experience

Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including Word and Excel

Strong organizational, interpersonal and communication skills

High attention to detail, and ability to multi-task

Strong customer focus to provide service excellence to business stakeholders

Ability to work independently and collaborate as part of a team

Prior experience working in a healthcare and/or technology company is an asset
The salary offered for this position falls within a specified salary range and will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, and the specific needs of the organization.
