Hours: 6pm to 6am Monday to Thursday
Shipping & receiving duties include:
· For shipping and receiving, ensure that all paperwork is filled out accurately, the skids are packed, wrapped, and labeled with correct shipping stickers and built as per PO
· Ensure the skid is unloaded from/loaded to a clean, appropriate temperature truck
· Manage and send out all Purolator shipments for testing/samples. Follow up with the tracking # info
· Maintaining, updating, and ensuring all checklists and records and logs are completed and filled on a daily basis to meet all 3rd party food safety standards for all shipping and receiving related duties
· Unload/load each truck in the order they arrive
Logistics coordination duties
· Schedule and plan the trucking logistics as far in advance of the shipment needing to leave as possible and have confirmation of pickup time
· Ensure that the recipient of the shipment has been notified of incoming shipment and delivery expectations are clearly communicated with freight companies
· Always receive a quote for any shipment booking, unless there is a per skid cost contract in place with the freight carrier
· Create and maintain an up to date list of contacts for all used carriers
· Inform Purchasing of any shipping needs well in advance of running out of product
Warehouse organization duties include:
· Retrieving, skid tagging, placing, and organizing all skids from a day of production
· After skids have cooled, wrap for shipping
· Managing and organizing the incoming raw materials/ingredients and placing into their designated areas
