We are looking to hire a BUTCHER!
Heatherlea Farm Shoppe is genuine farm-to-fork business, from raising our own cattle to our on-farm butcher shop and value-added kitchen/café that sells direct to consumers from our retail store. Customers come to our shop for fresh cut meats, dry-aged beef, frozen prepared entreés, baked goods or to sit and have lunch and coffee. Everything is made in-house from scratch.
We are looking to hire an individual that is passionate about his/her craft of butchery. This position involves training/working with the assistant butcher. Responsibilities are, but not limited too, prepping and cutting meats, patty making, merchandizing meats, receiving orders and putting them away, packaging, cleaning, and general maintenance. Being able to assist customers with meal ideas and cooking suggestions is an asset. Heavy lifting is required. You must have your own transportation.
If this sounds like it might be the place for you, please contact Pat McArthur through the contact information below, or stop by the store, with a resume, during business hours.
To see what is special about our Angus herd, farm, and store, please see www.heatherlea.ca. Our farm in Caledon is within the Greater Toronto Area and is close to cities such as Brampton, Orangeville, Georgetown and the Town of Erin.
