STATUS: Full-time


The Director, Online Experience leads a team of Business Analysts and Product Owners in maximizing the value of our advisor and client-facing portals for both the client and the business. This individual also has direct responsibility as the lead Product Owner for the advisor portal.

The Director, Online Experience will ensure client needs are fully understood and represented throughout the life cycle of digital portals. (S)he will play a pivotal role in leading - directly or through the team - the strategy, design, delivery and adoption of new and existing digital solutions by defining and prioritizing the features and capabilities that deliver value to the customer and align to the desired business outcomes. To effectively do so, the Director, Online Experience will build and maintain a network of trusted partners across business and IT, and will engage in a transparent and consistent manner with all stakeholders including clients, internal teams, and executive sponsors.


Lead and support the Online Experience team, including establishment of business goals and KPI’s to maximize value of portals, application of these measures at an individual level, and coaching and encouraging the development of individual team members
Understand, empathize with and represent the voice of the client to identify problems or needs to be solved through a design thinking, agile approach
Understand current research, the competitive environment, and client and business priorities, and use this knowledge to drive feature prioritization
Communicate vision for the advisor portal on an ongoing basis, tailoring the message or approach used based on differing communication needs, in a way that enables stakeholders to understand and see the value
Collaborate on an ongoing basis with key internal and external stakeholders to identify and manage requirements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring what is delivered meets the original goals and objectives for the client and the business
Define Key Performance Indicator’s (KPI’s) of feature deployments to quantify the business benefit/impact, and work with stakeholders to ensure adoption and realization of desired results
Own the near-to-mid term investor or advisor portal product strategy and roadmap, defining scope, identifying and prioritizing requirements and constraints
Communicate program status, metrics, and goals regularly with internal stakeholders
Maintain a strong knowledge of industry trends and recent technology advancements

University degree (Bachelor’s or higher) or combination of equivalent education and experience
Minimum 7 years experience in Financial Services, with a strong preference for experience working directly with Financial Advisors / Assistants to ensure solid understanding of the client
Exceptional relationship builder, with the ability to establish trust and confidence in partners across the organization and at all levels, and the ability to influence decision making
Confident and proven leader, motivator, and effective decision-maker
Excellent collaboration skills, thrive in a cross-functional, hybrid team environment
Strong understanding of the business, coupled with creativity to leverage technology to drive better outcomes for client experience and operational effectiveness
Excellent communicator, with the ability to effectively convey messages in writing, verbally or presentation style to a variety of audiences / key stakeholders in a differing formats
Passion for and solid understanding of the online and mobile fintech space and competitive environment
Solid organizational skills, capable of multitasking and the ability to deliver high quality work under pressure
Ability to break down complex problems into manageable pieces, influence, and negotiate to deliver results
Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to identify insights to help shape online strategy
Working knowledge of agile project management methodologies and tools such as Confluence and Jira is an asset
