Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Labourer to join our team. This role involves supporting various construction projects by assisting skilled tradespeople and performing general labor tasks on-site. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience with construction-related tasks and tools is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided.
Duties
- Assist with the use of hand tools and power tools for various construction activities
- Support carpentry, framing, and restoration projects by preparing materials and site areas
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to assist with project execution
- Perform tasks such as caulking, painting, plumbing, welding, flooring installation, and tile laying under supervision
- Help with demolition, site cleanup, and material handling to ensure a safe and organized work environment
- Support installation of construction components according to schematics and project specifications
- Assist with the setup of scaffolding, ladders, and other equipment needed for construction tasks
- Follow safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure worksite
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of hand tools and construction techniques
- Experience or familiarity with carpentry, blueprint reading, schematics, or restoration work is a plus
- Ability to operate or learn to operate construction equipment and tools such as caulking guns, welding machines, or flooring tools
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Willingness to learn new skills related to plumbing, welding, tile laying, or other specialized trades
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is advantageous but not required
- Must be dependable with a positive attitude toward teamwork and safety standards
Pay: From $21.00 per hour
