MOA Responsibilities
- Book appointments, check patients in and out, and manage scheduling
- Operate a multi-line switchboard
- Manage incoming and outgoing faxes and emails
- Processes payments for uninsured services
- Other MOA duties. The successful candidate will be cross trained to work all areas of the office, including front reception and switchboard, as needed
Required Skills and Attributes
- Excellent communication, multi-tasking, and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency of applicable computer software (Profile EMR and Microsoft Office preferred)
- Minimum typing speed of 40+ words per minute
- Strong verbal and written communication skills (English required)
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Understanding of discretion and confidentiality
- Demonstrated reliability and confidentiality
- Compassionate, respectful, caring, and enthusiastic demeanor
Education and Experience
- Medical Office Assistant Diploma (or equivalent) - Preferred
- 2+ years of recent experience, education, or training - Preferred
- Criminal Records Check may be requested
