We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java for a full-time, permanent position in Canada, available for remote work. The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of experience and will report to the Engineering Manager, Software Delivery.
In this role, you will be responsible for all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle, including discovery, design, implementation, and support. You will work on a full-stack team, tackling the challenges of building highly scalable distributed systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve project objectives.

- Assist in growing and supporting departmental personnel through coaching and motivating staff for maximum performance.
- Conduct code reviews and mentor junior developers.

- Collaborate with architecture to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Work closely with the Software Development Technical Lead to establish technical strategy and project milestones.
- Implement microservices for our new cloud-native platform, including design, deployment automation, and monitoring.
- **Product + Technical Command**:
- Apply your expertise to design and implement scalable solutions.
- Evaluate supplier API specifications to inform business requirements.
- Provide technical leadership and communicate solutions' capabilities to team members of varying technical expertise.
What you bring to the table:
- 7+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, React, and C/C++.
- Experience with SSO, external authentication, and AWS-managed services including SQS, S3, SNS, Cognito, and API Gateway.
- A proven track record of successfully executing projects and building effective relationships within a team.
Pay: $80,232.25-$145,760.66 per year
