Overview
We are seeking a motivated Roofer Helper to assist experienced roofing professionals in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems. This entry-level position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry while supporting team efforts on various roofing projects. The ideal candidate is physically capable, eager to learn, and committed to safety and quality workmanship.
Responsibilities
- Assist roofers with the installation and repair of roofing materials, including shingles, metal panels, and membranes
- Handle and organize hand tools and construction equipment needed for roofing tasks
- Support in preparing job sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety barriers
- Perform heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and other roofing components
- Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members
- Aid in measuring and cutting materials according to project specifications, including blueprint reading when necessary
- Assist with caulking and sealing tasks to ensure waterproofing standards are met
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and properly dispose of debris throughout the project
Skills
- Experience with hand tools commonly used in construction and roofing projects
- Basic knowledge of construction principles and carpentry techniques
- Ability to read blueprints or technical drawings is a plus
- Handyman experience is beneficial for understanding various repair techniques
- Physical strength for heavy lifting and prolonged periods of standing or climbing ladders
- Good teamwork skills with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn new skills related to roofing and construction safety protocols

Pay: $20.96-$42.39 per hour
