We are seeking a talented and personable Hairstylist to join our vibrant salon team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hair styling, sanitation, and retail sales, with excellent communication skills to ensure clients leave satisfied and eager to return. This position involves working at the front desk, assisting clients, and upselling salon services and products in a friendly, professional environment.
Duties
- Perform a variety of hair styling services including cuts, color, treatments, and styling according to client preferences
- Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering personalized recommendations
- Maintain high standards of sanitation and cleanliness throughout the salon area and tools
- Upsell additional services and retail products to enhance client satisfaction and increase sales
- Manage front desk responsibilities such as scheduling appointments, checking in clients, and handling payments
- Communicate effectively with clients to ensure a positive experience from start to finish
- Stay current on the latest hair trends, techniques, and salon products to provide expert advice
- Assist with maintaining a welcoming atmosphere in the salon environment
Qualifications
- Proven experience in hair styling and salon services (Licensed Hairstylist)
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Knowledge of sanitation standards and safety procedures in a salon setting
- Ability to upsell products and services confidently while maintaining professionalism
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Experience in retail sales or front desk operations is preferred but not required
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while delivering quality results
- A valid cosmetology license or certification as required by regulations
