Reporting directly to the Vice President Human Resources, the Human Resources Assistant is an integral part of the HR team, assisting with the development of internal communications materials, coordinating HR activities and providing ad hoc project support.
Schedule and organize team meetings and activities. Anticipate needs and prepare materials needed for employee meetings, conferences and events hosted by Human Resources.
Create, edit, and proofread documents for various audiences ranging from front-line employees to executive-level leaders.
Assist in the development of internal communications to support integration activities of recently acquired businesses as part of the overall change management process.
Assist on projects to prepare the organization for HR initiatives.
Manage sensitive, confidential and proprietary information with discretion.
A college diploma or university degree in the field of Communications, Business or Human Resources and 2 - 5 years of work experience
Very strong writing, organizational, and time management skills
Creativity and experience with a wide range of innovative communications approaches
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet all deadlines
Attention to detail
Strong understanding of client relationship management and/or industry best practices
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Adaptability in a dynamic, complex and fast past delivery environment
Professional and friendly attitude with excellent customer service skills
Strong computer skills and experience with Adobe Creative Suite would be an asset
