Why this role matters
Behind every exceptional guest experience is a resort that's safe, welcoming, and operating seamlessly. As a Facilities Technician, you'll take ownership of the systems, buildings, and grounds that keep Brentwood Bay Resort running smoothly. From preventative maintenance to solving unexpected challenges, your work has a direct impact on both our guests' experience and our team's success.
You'll work across our boutique oceanfront resort, supporting guest rooms, restaurants, spa, marina, pools, hot tubs, saunas, back-of-house facilities, and beautiful outdoor spaces.
What you'll do

Perform preventative maintenance and repairs throughout the resort
- Diagnose and repair plumbing, HVAC, electrical, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general building systems
- Maintain pools, hot tubs, and saunas, including water quality and equipment maintenance
- Monitor mechanical, heating, ventilation, and electrical systems
- Respond promptly to guest and team maintenance requests
- Complete work orders and maintain accurate records using our maintenance management system
- Support landscaping, seasonal property maintenance, snow removal, and exterior upkeep
- Work alongside contractors to ensure projects are completed safely and to Resort standards
- Contribute to facility improvement projects that enhance efficiency and extend the life of Resort assets
What you'll bring

Two or more years of facilities, building maintenance, or hospitality maintenance experience
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, painting, and general repairs
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and basic maintenance software
- Commitment to workplace safety and WorkSafeBC standards
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work both indoors and outdoors throughout the year
- A positive, dependable, team-first attitude
